US Citizens need visa to travel to this country for both tourist and business purposes.
For us to process your visa properly and on time you MUST send International Passport and Visa Service Request Form with the following TOURIST VISA documents:
- Passport(Signed) with validity of at least 6 months beyond intended stay and at least one BLANK VISA PAGE;
- One application form, MUST be completed ONLINE and signed;
- Two passport photos(No glasses on photos-Photos with glasses get rejected and cause delay in the processing of your visa application);
- Copy of airline ticket or flight itinerary;
- Copy of Green Card (Residency Card) for Non-US Citizens;
- A copy of Driver License or State issued ID with proof of residence/address that matches exactly the present address on the visa application OR original of major utility bill (Water, Gas, Electric, or Sewage);
IMPORTANT: The address on these documents must be the same as the permanent address you put on your application. -
A photocopy of the birth certificate or any government issued document that shows parents name, date of birth and nationality. Depending on your nationality at birth, these are the documents that are accepted.
- US Born: Only birth certificates are accepted for applicants born in the US.
- Indian Born: Those born in India can use their birth certificate, old Indian passport or school leaving certificate.
- All Others: Those not born in the US or India should submit a birth certificate or any government document from the country of origin that has parents name, date of birth and nationality. Must be translated into English and notarized.
You should not send the originals - we cannot be responsible for original documents.

- Passport with validity of at least 6 months beyond intended stay and at least one BLANK VISA PAGE and signed;
- One application form, MUST be completed ONLINE and signed;
- Two passport photos;
- Copy of airline ticket or flight itinerary;
- Business letter (Business Letter from USA must specifically indicate the validity of the visa requested;
- Business letter from the contact company in India;
- A copy of Driver License or State issued ID with proof of residence/address that matches exactly the present address on the visa application OR original of major utility bill (Water, Gas, Electric, or Sewage);

- For Minors: A photocopy of the birth certificate & if traveling with one parent, a letter of consent from the non-traveling parent.
- Address on the driver's license and home address of the customer should match. If customer does not have driver's license, please send ORIGINAL of utility bill (internet, cell phone, bank statements are NOT acceptable).
- If your occupation has anything to do with Entertainment, Journalism, Photography, etc. and you are traveling to India as a tourist, a statement called "Undertaking Statement" is required.
- Copy of airline ticket or flight itinerary;
- Business letter on the company's letterhead. Specify the visa validity in the letter.
- The Consulate General of India in San Francisco has jurisdiction over the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
- Ten year multiple entry visas are only issued to US CITIZENS. Non-US citizens are ONLY issued visas with the validity of 6 months or one year.
- Vaccinations - International Certificate of Vaccination for yellow fever required if arriving from infected area within 5 days.
- Five or 10 years (depending on validity of your passport) multiple entry visa may be issued for business travelers for a fee of $150.00. An invitation from India requesting this visa is required and if not approved, a one year multiple entry visa will be issued and there is no refund of the fee.

- US short term visa holders will be charged a reference fee of $20.00 in addition to the total fees. US Green card holders and those who have a US long term visa (3 years or more) will not be charged the reference fee.
- Applicants with nationalities including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iran, China, Slovak Republic and Czech Republic will be required to pay the reference fee of $20.00 regardless of green card or US long term visa status.
- In cases where prior reference is required, the processing time is usually is 4-6 working days.
- Note that for citizens of Czech Republic and Slovak Republic, processing time is a minimum of 21 working days.
